“Hi, my name is Daniela and I want to share a little of my testimony. I am now 23 years old and from the time I was 6 years old, I was sponsored through ICCM which my family found out about through my local church. Little by little, I received benefits such as school supplies, gifts and letters from my sponsors.
The years passed and though the physical gifts were helpful, I think the best part of the sponsorship was keeping in touch with my sponsors- sending letters telling them how I am, what my dreams are, about my hopes and goals in life. It was so special to me that they always answered my letters and encouraged me as well as sharing about their life and how they had been growing in the Lord.
I am very blessed to have grown up knowing there were people who are willing to help me and that are praying for me. I will always be grateful to my sponsors for their help in my spiritual development and for being there for me.
I am currently my career as an obstetrician and I am in another city doing rural internships while continuing with my theological studies, this has been a difficult time since I am away from my parents and I have been able to become emotionally and financially independent. But the most difficult thing has been to face this pandemic that everyone is facing because of Covid-19, since we have had to face this reality from the front line and it has really been a very strong experience because the danger is constant. Every morning I ask God to protect me, to give me strength so that despite my tiredness, weakness, fear due to lack of necessary supplies, and loneliness from being away from my family, I would be able to serve others with the same love that I felt from my sponsors.
In the midst of this time of scarcity and limitations I have been able to see how the hand of God moves in my life and I have not lacked anything, I always feel His support and faithful provision in the midst of all circumstances and I am very thankful for His mercy. Without a doubt God is faithful, so I encourage you to continue sowing the seeds for change in others and to be praying for all those people who are experiencing this situation, both the personnel who are exposed, and those who suffer from this disease, that everyone can recognize God at this time, and I appreciate your prayers for me too. God bless you.
Let us all keep in mind ‘Jehovah is good, a strength in the day of trouble; and he knows those who trust him.’ Nahum 1: 7 “
